Bash Flaw Affecting Linux and Mac Systems

Mac VirusI love pointing out flaws with Apple, simply because people are so ignorant saying “Apple is better than Microsoft because they never get viruses or crash”.  People purchasing Apple for the sole reason of thinking they don’t have problems are in for a rude awakening.  Especially after recent events that hit the news.  Most upsetting is that Apple representatives refuse to talk.

I’m sure everyone heard of the “Heart Bleed” infection that affect two thirds of Internet servers.  Now this Bash (Bourne Again SHell) flaw is expected to be even bigger than Heart Bleed.  And this affects Unix based systems which is the basis of Linux and Apple computers.  If I may add, Microsoft computers will never get affected by this virus. 🙂

The point I’d like to make here is it is very important to not take any computer technology for granted thinking you are bullet proof.  You are always at risk whether it’s Microsoft or Apple or Linux, whether it’s a computer, laptop, tablet or even a smart phone.  That includes Blackberry, Android and iPhones.  All are subject to security risks of hackers and viruses to either destroy your device or steal your identity.

With that said, it’s extremely important to practice safe surfing and keep your devices patched, including all software/apps installed.  Twinbytes offers monthly preventive maintenance to business at highly competitive rates to handle issues like these and take preventive measures so you never have to worry about these types of scares.
