TwinBytes Computer Care for Windows
Whether you’re preparing to replace your computer, or looking for what’s taking up valuable storage space, TwinBytes Computer Care is a FREE app that brings several useful tools together in one convenient application. It runs locally on your computer.
What can it do?
- Installed Apps: Generate a list of installed programs, versions and available installation details. Export to PDF or CSV to help your technician prepare for a computer replacement.
- PC Specs: View your computer’s hardware specifications and Windows information, then save a PDF report to share with a technician.
- Find Large Files: A basic free scanner to locate large files and folders taking up valuable storage space, with sortable results.
If you’re in Georgina or the surrounding Ontario communities, TwinBytes would be happy to help. If you’re elsewhere, you’re welcome to use the application with your preferred local technician.

Simply download and extract the zip file. Place the .exe file on your desktop and run it. No install required.
A Note About Windows Security Warnings
When opening TwinBytes Computer Care for the first time, Windows may display a message saying “Windows protected your PC.” This can happen because our application is relatively new and has not yet established a reputation with Microsoft SmartScreen.
This warning does not necessarily indicate a virus or security problem. If you downloaded the application directly from our website and trust the source, you can click More info, followed by Run anyway, if that option is available. If your antivirus specifically identifies a security threat, please contact TwinBytes rather than bypassing the protection. We’ve tested on a couple different anti-virus products and works fine.
Review exported reports before sharing them, as they may contain information you don’t want to share.
