I’ve always told people to beware of banking online, e-money transfer, etc. We are doing more online than in the past, and now it’s easier for thieves to steal. In the past it was gun slingers with masks going into the bank physically. Now they can be in their comfy clothing sitting at home and electronically break into not only the bank, but your computer and steal your identity which is even more costly. Services like Identity Theft can be used to help in the event that you become a victim, but you want to take precautions to avoid becoming a victim in the first place. Talk to your local computer tech to help with this if you are not sure yourself. You should change all passwords and discuss encrypting your data with your tech.

CTV news made a nice little video for those that don’t like to read. Please note the video continues after repeated short commercial/ads. It goes on for as long as you’d like to watch it for. Many short videos that are informative.
